New Members Accepted: Yes, we are happy to have more players provided they already know the basics of the game rules but does not necessarily need to be an expert.

 Meeting Brief: At the moment the group has 11 members plus a 12th on reserve. Any U3A member can join as Bridge is a game that can take in all ability players.

 We have all levels of skill. It is an exciting game of luck, clever planning, exhaustive stamina or frustration, disappointment and misery! It all depends on how you and your partner play across the green baize table! You don’t have to be an expert! Luck is very much in the game! That is why bridge is thought to be the king of all games!

 Half way in the afternoon, we stop for tea and biscuits and this is the social time for nattering. Although a serious game, bridge is fun and very absorbingly exciting!
